I'm out if it's a V6. I can't really tell, but I think it might be. But if it's a V8, I'm ashamed to admit that I love it, dreadful interior and all. Don't judge me. Look away, look away! I've never owned one but I've driven several F-bodies and even rented a red Camaro version of the car pictured above. It was...simply marvelous. Gigantic, unwieldy, torque-monster...fun.
Why does it have an AMC label? Looking more closely at the pictures, my guess is that it's a 94-97. You didn't happen to take a snap of the VIN plate, did you? Probably a great way to get shot at, so I suppose that's a stupid question. That's the sort of insane thing a crazy person like me would do. I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and guess that it's a V8, Formula or a Trans Am. Probably the former.
