My parents had a '79 Datsun King cab that I drove a lot in HS. It's where I perfected my technique with a manual. I have fond memories of it, I can still remember the sound of the engine and the funky twist to release umbrella handle handbrake. I'm sure if I drove one today, I'd hate it.
I'm not so sure, maybe. Or you'd value the marvelous simplicity and rugged elemental qualities. Those were great things, especially in a truck, don't you think?
And yet it's perfect that way it is, isn't it.
